Our client, a reputable and well-established Insurance Brokerage, is looking to appoint a qualified Commercial & Personal lines Underwriter mid-level with plus minus 3 years experience within a Brokerage, to join their specialist dynamic team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities
- Allocated a portfolio of commercial and personal lines clients
- Process renewals as allocated by General Manager
- Process endorsements for Portfolio
- Process cancellations and assist with client retention
- Load quotes for Account Executives and send to General Manager for rating
- Issue new business
- Filing of documentation on Policy Administration Platform
- General admin support for Accoutn Executive's
- Send unmet letters and follow up with clients
- Process refund requests
- Check and allocate premium payments
- Manage queries related to premiums
- Send invoices where applicable to clients and follow up with clients
- Adhere to turn around times
- Adhere to Binder and Internal Mandates
- Binder Broker / Broker Experience
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications and Experience
- Re accreditation (RE5)
- Degree or Diploma holder preferably
- FAIS compliance - 60 Credits on NFQ level 4
- Own reliable transport and valid drivers license
- 3 Years underwriting experience at a binder broker / UMA / Administrator or Insurer
- Experience in quote and renewal comparisons
- Excellent communication and client services skills
- Professionalism and good work ethics
Package & Remuneration
R 17 500 - R 22 000 CTC dependent on level of experience
