A leading financial services company is searching for a Underwriter & Claims Consultant for the Blouberg branch. The successful candidate will provide underwriting & Claims assistance to the Advisers on personal lines insurance
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Liaising with clients and advisers
- Preparing quotations
- Issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Recording details and information on the relevant systems
- General Administration – effectively deal with all facets of Personal lines underwriting & claims
- Good understanding of general short-term insurance procedures and claims procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- All Personal Lines underwriting – renewals, endorsements, quotes, new business, re-broking, complete
compliance process. Making sure all covers are laid off before end of business day.
- All Personal Lines claims : from start to finish.
- Communicating & interacting with clients professionally throughout both processes above for
underwriting and claims.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- NQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short term insurance)
- RE5 successfully completed
- Minimum 8 years’ short-term personal lines experience
- Brokerage experience
- Dealing with HNW individuals
