- Area: Riviera, Pretoria
- Ages: Child in Grade R
- Working hours: Three days per week: 17h30 – 18h30
- School holiday hours: no needed, school terms only
Duties
- Tutoring in age appropriate English and Maths skills. Develop letter recognition, teach letter sounds phonics, encourage correct pencil grip and pre-writing skills, assist with tracing, copying and writing letters and simple words, read age-appropriate books to develop listening and comprehension skills. Teach rhyming words and sound awareness, support pronunciation and language development.
- Teach number recognition 0–20 and beyond as appropriate, counting skills, teach number sequencing and number formation, patterns and sequencing. Plan engaging, age-appropriate lessons tailored to the learner's developmental stage. Create a fun, positive and encouraging learning environment. Support the development of fine motor skills through cutting, colouring, threading and drawing activities.
- Requirements: Experience with Grade R tutoring / Early Childhood Development qualification
- Start date: ASAP start - permanent
- Salary: R250 - R300 per hour
All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:
- Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
- Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
- Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
- Must have a clear criminal record
- Must have a passion for children
- Must have Matric
- Must have a South African ID document.
