Turret Driver

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent. • Valid turret truck/forklift operator certification or licence. • Previous experience operating a turret truck in a warehouse environment is preferred. • Experience working in narrow aisle, high-rack storage facilities is advantageous. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment is an advantage. • Ability to sit and operate warehouse equipment for extended periods. • Comfortable working at elevated heights using a turret truck. • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments. • Capable of lifting and handling products within safe manual handling limits when required. • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays as operationally required. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a turret truck safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and applicable health and safety regulations. • Pick, replenish, and put away stock in high-bay racking systems. • Accurately transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and dispatch areas. • Verify product quantities and locations using warehouse management systems (WMS) • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the turret truck and report any defects or maintenance requirements. • Ensure loads are stable, secure, and handled without causing product or equipment damage. • Maintain accurate inventory by following stock rotation procedures and reporting discrepancies. • Assist with stock counts and cycle counts as required. • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards. • Follow all warehouse procedures, quality standards, and safe operating practices. • Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to meet operational targets.
