Job Title: Turret Driver Location: Durban

Job Overview: The Turret Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a turret truck to move, store, retrieve, and replenish stock within narrow aisle warehouse environments. The role supports accurate inventory management, timely order fulfilment, and compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards. Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Valid turret truck/forklift operator certification or licence.
  • Previous experience operating a turret truck in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in narrow aisle, high-rack storage facilities is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning equipment is an advantage.
  • Ability to sit and operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights using a turret truck.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and environments.
  • Capable of lifting and handling products within safe manual handling limits when required.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays as operationally required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a turret truck safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Pick, replenish, and put away stock in high-bay racking systems.
  • Accurately transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and dispatch areas.
  • Verify product quantities and locations using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections of the turret truck and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure loads are stable, secure, and handled without causing product or equipment damage.
  • Maintain accurate inventory by following stock rotation procedures and reporting discrepancies.
  • Assist with stock counts and cycle counts as required.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures, quality standards, and safe operating practices.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to meet operational targets.
