Port Elizabeth based. Detail: Requirements: 4 years' experience as a machinist in an engineering shop. Not as a production machinist. Hole and thread tolerances. Knowledge of different materials. Able to work overtime and weekends (when needed). Responsibilities: Know how to read and determine manufacturing drawings. Created freehand drawings from a master part. Work to high tolerance machining. Know what tooling and feed and speeds to use with different materials. Must be able to cut threads and tapers on a manual lathe and mill. Be able to operate different machines, Lathe, Mill, surface grinder, blocking mill, drill arm, auto tapping machine.
