Job Title : Turner Machinist (FTC) x 1
Grade : C2
Reports to : Engineer/Chargehand
Department : Engineering
Main purpose of the job
- Material identification and must be familiar with all turning equipment and tools (must have own tools)
- Carry out all machining tasks pertaining to machine shop
- Ensure safety and good housekeeping
- Must be able to work within close tolerances
- Speed and accuracy is required
- Good timekeeping is essential
- Must be able to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Must be able to take instructions and work in a team .
- Comply with all TH regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- Trade test certificate
- 3 years experience in a sugar manufacturing industry.
Personal Qualities
- The ideal candidate must be a hard worker, must work well in a team environment, pay attention to detail and sound interpersonal skills are also essential attributes. They must have good communication skills and must be able to read, write and speak English.
