Truck Driver Recruiter - Johannesburg

Introduction

To assist and conduct in recruitment of company drivers.

Duties & Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS

• Conduct site visits to company depots, truck stops, transport and logistics hubs to recruit drivers.

• Manage the entire recruitment process for drivers, including screening, reference checks, testing, and follow-ups on hired candidates.

• Verify driver qualifications, licences, PDPs, work history, and supporting documentation.

• Ensure that all candidates qualify in accordance with the company’s minimum requirements and criteria.

• Maintain accurate records of recruited drivers and potential candidates across all depots.

• Build and maintain a professional network for recruitment purposes.

• Ensure timely completion, processing, and filing of recruitment administration tasks.

• Stay updated on recruitment processes, requirements, and industry needs.

• Provide prompt feedback to senior management regarding recruitment activities.

• Address and resolve client queries related to the recruitment department.

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Valid Code 14 driver’s license and PDP.

• Previous Recruitment experience essential.

• Experience in the transport and logistics industry.

• Diploma in Recruitment and/or operations management or equivalent field will be an added advantage.
