Role Overview A reputable logistics operation in Johannesburg is seeking a reliable and safety-focused 8-ton Truck Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate is disciplined, punctual, and committed to delivering goods professionally and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Operate an 8-ton truck safely and professionally
- Collect, transport and deliver goods to clients and designated locations
- Complete deliveries accurately and on time
- Load and offload goods safely, ensuring proper securing
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and general upkeep
- Complete delivery documentation
- Follow road safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with general depot duties
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 10 or Code 14 license
- Proven experience driving an 8-ton truck
- Strong knowledge of road safety rules
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically fit and able to assist in loading/offloading
- Professional attitude with good communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends
