The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation of construction materials, equipment, and employees between the company's premises and various project sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellent vehicle care.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles in accordance with all road traffic regulations and company policies.
- Transport construction materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies to various construction sites.
- Transport construction personnel to and from project sites when required.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured and comply with legal load requirements.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report mechanical faults, maintenance requirements, accidents, or incidents immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Complete delivery notes, logbooks, trip sheets, and any other required documentation accurately.
- Assist with loading and offloading of materials where required.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients, suppliers, and site personnel.
