Our client, a leader in the Financial Services industry, is looking for a Treasury Analyst to join their team.
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s ALM and Treasury functions by managing liquidity reporting, funding relationships, compliance and stakeholder communication through accurate analysis, modelling, and timely delivery of key internal and external reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Building relationships internally as well as externally
- Periodic reporting to shareholder (ALM as well as any other reporting requirements)
- Periodic and ad hoc reporting to various funders (bank and institutional)
- Maintaining the Funding Dashboard
- Maintaining financial models reflecting liquidity and rate gap analysis
- Preparing monthly Treasury Forum pack as well as co-ordinating and presenting the pack
- Performing monthly variance analysis budget vs. actual with detailed reconciliations and assisting with budget cycle preparation
- Ensuring KYB compliance for all financial institutions, on boarding and recertifications
- Assisting in treasury activities for regulatory and internal policy compliance
- Assisting in monitoring upcoming maturities and managing roll over liquidity events
- Assisting in collating information for credit reviews with banks, rating agencies and all other external information requests
- Assisting in preparing ALCO pack, board presentations and other internal information requests
- Maintaining Investor Relations website
- Ensuring that all SENS announcements are drafted and released
- Ensuring that all relevant documentation (agreements, policies, investor packs etc.) are stored in the relevant location
- Assisting with internal and external audit requests
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Finance/Accounting Degree
- Honours degree or completion of 3-year SAICA articles
- 3-5 years relevant experience preferably within a Financial Services organisation
- Previous experience working within a corporate banking or treasury team
- Proficient in Excel (intermediate – advanced)
- Knowledge of banking compliance – advantageous
- People management experience (preferred)
