- Supreme Processing Pty Ltd is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Training & Development Officer to join the Human Resources team at our Germiston site.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing skills requirements, conducting training needs analyses, coordinating training interventions, reviewing training and digital learning content, and ensuring employees are equipped with the required knowledge and skills to meet operational, compliance, food safety, quality, and health and safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in training coordination, training design, facilitation, and skills development.
- Experience in a manufacturing, processing, FMCG, or food production environment will be advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducting training needs analyses and work studies across production lines and support functions to identify skills gaps and training requirements.
- Collaborating with supervisors, line managers, and training staff to define legislative competency requirements for various job roles.
- Developing and maintaining departmental skills matrices and updated training plans.
- Coordinating and supporting the design and delivery of training interventions, including classroom-based, practical, on-the-job, SOP-based, and compliance training.
- Reviewing training material, SOP-based content, and digital/e-learning content to ensure accuracy, relevance, compliance, and alignment with plant standards.
- Monitoring employee training progress, attendance, assessment outcomes, and completion of mandatory training.
- Ensuring training programmes support compliance with HACCP, GMP, Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, and other relevant industry requirements.
- Compiling and submitting the Workplace Skills Plan WSP and Annual Training Report ATR.
- Maintaining accurate and auditable training records for SETA inspections, audits, and grant applications.
- Preparing training progress reports for management and relevant internal committees, including Employment Equity and Skills Development structures.
- Coordinating the scheduling and logistics of internal and external training interventions.
- Supervising training staff and supporting the effective execution of daily training administration tasks.
- Tracking training budgets and ensuring cost-effective training delivery.
