TRAINEE: FINANCE & INSURANCE 12-MONTH FIXED-TERM CONTRACT | MOTUS RETAIL

- Motus Retail is looking for a motivated, customer-focused and commercially minded Trainee: Finance & Insurance to join our dealership network on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
- This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or suitably qualified individual to gain practical, hands-on experience in the Finance & Insurance environment while learning from experienced F&I professionals.
- The successful candidate will be required to participate in relevant workplace learning and development activities during the 12-month contract.
- Trainees will be exposed to the full F&I process, including vehicle finance applications, customer engagement, value-added products, administration, compliance and deal processing.
- This 12-month opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to gain valuable practical experience, develop industry-specific knowledge and build a strong foundation for a career in Finance & Insurance within Motus Retail.
JOB PURPOSE
- The Trainee: Finance & Insurance will support the F&I team in managing finance and insurance processes relating to vehicle sales while gaining practical knowledge and experience of the F&I environment.
- The role will provide structured workplace learning and exposure to finance and insurance products, customer service, regulatory requirements, dealership processes and relationships with finance houses and insurance providers.
- The successful candidate will be expected to develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to progress towards a career in Finance & Insurance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Finance & Insurance Support
- Assist with the preparation and submission of finance applications.
- Learn and develop an understanding of vehicle finance structures and finance house requirements.
- Gain exposure to finance and insurance products and value-added products VAPs.
- Develop an understanding of how F&I products contribute to dealership profitability.
Customer Experience
- Assist with providing customers with a professional and welcoming F&I experience.
- Develop strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with customer information.
Compliance & Governance
- Develop an understanding of the regulatory environment applicable to F&I within the automotive retail industry.
Gain exposure to the requirements of
- National Credit Act NCA
- Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services FAIS Act
- Financial Intelligence Centre Act FICA
- Protection of Personal Information Act POPIA
- Consumer Protection Act CPA
- Treating Customers Fairly TCF principles
- OEM standards and dealership policies
- Assist with maintaining accurate and complete customer and deal documentation.
- Complete all required training and development activities during the 12-month programme.
Administration
- Assist with preparing finance and insurance documentation accurately and timeously.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Perform general administrative duties relating to the F&I function.
Relationship Management
Develop positive working relationships with
- Customers
- Sales Executives
- Sales Managers
- Dealer Principal
- Finance and insurance providers
- Finance houses and banks
- Other dealership support functions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- South African citizen.
- Grade 12 Matric or equivalent.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Management Accounting or a related field.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
