Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and planned maintenance on production machinery
- Attend to electrical and mechanical breakdowns with minimal downtime
- Conduct fault-finding on PLC-controlled equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps and other production equipment
- Install, commission and modify machinery where required
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Work closely with production teams to maximise plant availability
Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Trade Tested Millwright
- Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts or overtime when operationally required
Advantageous Experience
- FMCG or high-volume manufacturing
- Automated production lines
- Variable Speed Drives VSDs
- Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or TPM exposure
- CMMS or maintenance management systems
