- Reporting to the Butchery National Buyer – Frozen, you will provide administrative and commercial support to ensure the efficient management of the frozen butchery category. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders while gaining valuable exposure to retail buying and category management.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce or a related qualification.
- 3–4 years' experience in a buying, procurement or commercial support environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Advantageous Experience or knowledge of:
- Retail buying or FMCG environments.
- Meat costings and meat cuts.
- Shelf-life and storage requirements for meat products.
- Buying systems such as Bomm and Cube Reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Assist the National Buyer with the day-to-day management of the Frozen Butchery category.
- Prepare and maintain weekly pricing schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate new supplier listings and ensure all required compliance documentation is obtained.
- Assist with the preparation, updating and administration of supplier trade agreements.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure seamless execution of buying activities.
- Update product and location information within internal systems.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate buying records.
- Provide general administrative support to the buying function.
