The ideal candidate will be a qualified CA(SA) with strong post-articles experience who is looking for a role that offers both technical depth and international exposure, within an organisation that places a strong focus on innovation, automation and continuous improvement.

Duties

• Manage and oversee key accounting functions, including month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Apply and interpret IFRS, with specific exposure to IFRS 9.

• Account for foreign exchange transactions and hedging activities.

• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and provide input on complex accounting matters.

• Drive and support finance automation and process improvement initiatives.

• Support audits, statutory reporting and other accounting and financial reporting requirements.

Education and experience

• CA(SA) qualification.

• 3-5 years post-articles experience.

• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge specifically IFRS 9

• Experience with forex and hedging is preferred

• Experience preparing technical accounting papers

• Mining industry experience is essential
