- Lead and manage the Toolroom / Toolmaker team.
- Plan and coordinate preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance.
- Strip, repair, modify and assemble tooling.
- Monitor tooling performance and ensure production run rates are maintained.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Review CMM reports and coordinate corrective actions.
- Plan resources, personnel, tasks, spares and machining requirements.
- Drive KPI achievement, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyse and optimise tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly Toolroom reports.
- Identify team training needs and development gaps.
- Work closely with Production and Quality to ensure tooling reliability and product quality.
- Handle basic IR/ER matters and conduct DDS activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate Apprentice in Tool, Jig & Die or Millwright.
- Certified Manufacturing / Tooling Engineer.
- Minimum 10 years experience in sheet metal stamping.
- 35 years management experience within a Tooling / Toolroom department.
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings and CAD/CAM software.
- Experience with 5S and IATF / ISO standards.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt highly advantageous.
- Project Management experience advantageous.
- Strong leadership, planning, analytical troubleshooting and people-management skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
