- Our client, a well-established speciality retail store in East London, is seeking a friendly, energetic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join their team on a temporary maternity cover contract approximately three months.
- This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is eager to learn. A recent school leaver with the right attitude, maturity and willingness to learn will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice.
- Prepare fresh juices and smoothies full training provided.
- Merchandise and replenish stock to maintain attractive product displays.
- Assist with stock control and general housekeeping.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and store presentation.
- Learn and become familiar with an extensive range of health, wellness and lifestyle products.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
- Perform general retail duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Grade 12.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Comfortable interacting with customers in a busy retail environment.
- Well-presented with excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Organised with the ability to multitask.
- Fast learner with a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
- An interest in health, wellness or organic living would be advantageous.
