TEMPORARY IT BUSINESS ANALYST

Introduction

Bestmed is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team and support the successful delivery of the organisation's strategic project portfolio, business improvement initiatives, and system enhancement requests. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify business needs, facilitate stakeholder engagements and requirements workshops, analyse and document business and user requirements, and develop comprehensive Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), User Requirements Specifications (URS), process flows, and supporting documentation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in evaluating and validating proposed solutions, supporting testing activities, including Business Acceptance Testing (BAT/UAT), ensuring end-to-end requirements traceability, and driving alignment between business and IT to deliver effective, high-quality solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives and continuous improvement journey.

Duties & Responsibilities

The temporary BA will be responsible for supporting activities including:

• Business requirements gathering and analysis;

• Facilitation of workshops with business stakeholders;

• Documentation of Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), User Requirements

• Specifications (URS), process flows, and supporting documentation;

• Supporting solution evaluation and validation;

• Assisting with testing preparation, execution, and business acceptance activities;

• Supporting project governance through requirements traceability and alignment between

• business and IT delivery teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years' experience working in a Business Analyst role, with proven experience in complex business and technology environments

• Experience within the healthcare, medical scheme, insurance, or regulated industries would be advantageous

Qualification

• Grade 12

• Degree in Business Analysis or IT related

Additional inherent requirements

• A recognised Business Analyst certification (e.g., IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, BCS Business

Analysis Certification, or equivalent)
