Job Description

Our commitment to elegance, comfort, and exceptional living standards is reflected in every space we create.
  • The villages include healthcare facilities incorporating modern rehabilitation spaces, common dining and activity areas, and over 350 healthcare rooms.
  • This position is based at our modern, centrally located Claremont offices – just across from Cavendish – where you'll also have the opportunity to help maintain and refine our corporate environment to the same high standards as our villages.
  • We are seeking a Temporary Interior Designer to provide essential support by finalising ongoing projects, assisting with smaller new initiatives, and ensuring that design updates are delivered smoothly and efficiently. This role is focused on execution and continuity rather than large-scale new developments, making it a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative environment.
  • Working alongside senior managers, procurement, and other professionals, this role offers the chance to keep Faircape's spaces polished, functional, and welcoming while gaining valuable exposure in a multidisciplinary setting.

We Offer

  • Competitive market-related salaries

Duties include but are not limited to

  • Support the completion of existing design and refurbishment projects by following established plans and ensuring all outstanding tasks are finalised.
  • Manage smaller new projects as they arise, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with Faircape's standards.
  • Track project progress, prepare status updates, and highlight any risks, delays, or resource requirements to management.
  • Assist with sourcing and selecting décor, furniture, materials, and finishes in line with project requirements, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and contractors to ensure timely deliveries and smooth project handovers.
  • Implement design changes on-site with minimal disruption to residents and staff, ensuring safe and functional outcomes.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of facilities to monitor progress, identify outstanding items, and ensure completed spaces align with Faircape's quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, supplier details, and material selections to support continuity for future projects.
