MobileMate is a well-established mobile device and technology business based in the Cape Quarter in Green Point. We specialise in mobile device repairs, accessories, smartphones and technology-related products and services .
We are looking for a friendly, energetic and outgoing Temporary Front-of-House / Sales Assistant to join our small team.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in-store and supporting the day-to-day operation of the shop.
Duties will include
- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Front-of-house customer service
- Assisting with retail sales
- Recommending mobile device accessories and products
- Receiving devices from customers for repairs and services
- Assisting customers with general enquiries
- Keeping the shop floor neat and presentable
- General retail and administrative duties
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for someone who is
- Friendly, bubbly and outgoing
- Confident and comfortable speaking to customers
- Well-presented and professional
- A quick learner who can absorb new product information
- Energetic, reliable and responsible
- Customer-focused and enthusiastic about sales
- Interested in smartphones, technology and consumer electronics
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
Students are encouraged to apply , particularly those looking for part-time work alongside their studies.
Previous retail or sales experience will be an advantage, but personality, attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
WORKING DAYS & HOURS
This is a temporary part-time position , requiring approximately
3–4 days per week
Working days will include retail / shopping-centre hours , including some weekends and/or public holidays where required.
