Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Temp Accountant to manage a broad range of accounting and financial processing responsibilities. The successful candidate must have strong full-function accounting experience, excellent reconciliation skills and the ability to work accurately and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-function accounting and financial administration
- Management and processing of cashbooks
- Managing and reconciling incoming loan accounts
- Processing and reconciliation of company credit cards
- Processing and reconciliation of Sales Representative expenses
- Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Processing of payroll journals
- Preparation and processing of sundry journals/transactions
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- General ledger reconciliations and maintenance
- Ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and supported
- Assisting with month-end accounting processes and reporting
- Resolving reconciliation discrepancies and finance-related queries
Minimum Requirements
- BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience
- Strong full-function accounting experience
- Solid knowledge of cashbooks, balance sheet reconciliations, journals and VAT
- Experience processing credit cards, expenses and loan accounts
- Strong Excel and accounting system skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Available for a temporary assignment
