Telesales and Sales Administrator (FMCG)

Introduction

Our client, a leading supplier of meat and food products to the catering and hospitality industries in Olifantsfontein, near Midrand in Johannesburg, wants to appoint a Sales Administrator & Telesales person.  This person will be responsible to grow and maximise turnover with the company’s existing and new customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Call on customers or potential customers in order to grow sales and meet sales targets.

• Take and process orders in an accurate manner.

• Ensure all orders are processed and followed through to customer.

• Answer questions about the product or the company.

• Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.

• Enter and update customers’ information on the database.

• Liaise with customers, production and dispatch to meet customer’s request as far as possible.

• Go to the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales.

• Keep records of calls and note useful information.

• Attend weekly sales meetings to ensure communication regarding sales targets and sales focus areas.

• Liaise with the rest of the Sales team on problems encountered and devise solutions on areas of improvement.

• Do general task as directed by Sales Team leader

• Minimize wastage.

• Answer telephones offer to assist and take messages where necessary.

• Keep workstation neat and tidy.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric (Grade 12)

• At least 2 years’ experience of sales administration and telesales in a FMCG or Food Industry

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

• Computer skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Time management skills

• Good and interpersonal skills

• Work well under pressure

• Be able to work well in a team

Package & Remuneration

R13 000 CTC depending on experience + Commission
