- Building and enhancing modern business applications
- Designing scalable and sustainable software solutions
- Managing and improving development and deployment processes
- Supporting and optimising databases and business systems
- Troubleshooting complex technical issues across multiple platforms
- Conducting root-cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
- Improving system performance, reliability, and security
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge resources
- Balancing immediate operational needs with long-term architectural improvements
Job Experience and Skills Required
You are likely a senior-level developer or technical specialist who enjoys ownership and isn't afraid of complexity. You'll bring:
- A qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Approximately 5+ years of experience within software development, systems engineering, or infrastructure-focused environments
- Strong experience building and supporting enterprise-level applications
- Exposure to cloud, infrastructure, automation, deployment, and database technologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- The ability to quickly understand unfamiliar systems and environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, self-managed approach to work
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
