Role Requirements To be considered for this role, you must hold a a National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) or a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Science (BSc MLS) be registered with the HPCSA as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist in Clinical Pathology These qualifications ensure that you are equipped with the foundational knowledge and professional accreditation to perform confidently and competently in a dynamic laboratory environment. We are looking for candidates with 3 years or more of experience in a pathology laboratory setting. This experience provides the practical grounding needed to navigate the complexities of clinical diagnostics. Skills Requirements This role calls for a balanced mix of technical and interpersonal strengths. You are proficient in using computer technology to support laboratory operations and data analysis. Your fluency in English enables clear communication across teams and with clients. Strong numerical reasoning supports your accuracy in calculations and data interpretation, while your communication skills help foster a people-centric culture that ignites engagement and collaboration. Role Impact In this role, your contributions extend far beyond the laboratory bench. You are responsible for processing specimens with precision and care, ensuring that results are delivered efficiently and reliably. You support quality and accreditation standards through diligent adherence to protocols and contribute to innovation by engaging in ongoing research and staying informed about emerging technologies. Your involvement in stock monitoring helps maintain operational readiness, and your support in training learner scientists plays a vital role in building future capabilities.
