Start free — we apply for you →Role Requirements To be considered for this role, you must hold a National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology) / BHs MLS (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences), along with HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist in Clinical Pathology. These qualifications ensure that you are equipped with the foundational knowledge and professional accreditation to perform confidently and competently in a dynamic laboratory environment. We are looking for candidates with 0–5 years of experience in a pathology laboratory setting. This experience provides the practical grounding needed to navigate the complexities of clinical diagnostics. Skills Requirements Success in this role requires a blend of technical and interpersonal skills. You must be able to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans, perform basic numerical calculations with accuracy, and use computer systems effectively to support laboratory operations. Your ability to collaborate, adapt, and contribute to a people-centric environment will be key to your success. Role Impact In this role, your contributions will directly support the smooth and efficient functioning of the Clinical Pathology laboratory. From processing routine and urgent samples to maintaining quality standards and supporting your colleagues through training and technical guidance, your work will help ensure that every result is delivered with accuracy and care. You will also play a role in strengthening client relationships, reinforcing Ampath’s reputation for excellence.
