Technician: Service Assurance

We are looking for a Technician: Service Assurance: The role plays a crucial role in maintaining and operating the systems that control various functions within a Data Centre. The role will ensure the efficient monitoring of the BMS/EMS systems which includes HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), Power Generation, Un-interrupted power supplies, Fire suppression and detection, DCIM platform and any other automated systems within the Data Centre environment. This role will be responsible for oversite of all BMS/EMS systems to ensure all alarms or alerts will be attended to. Key Performance Area Service Assurance and Change Management Monitor per site the BMS,EMS and DCIM system for alerts and alarms Assess the compliance of documentation and reports. Conduct triage & correlation of events & alarms to determine cause in support of localised OPCO support teams and Technicians. Incident Escalations Management Contact the local site BMS or Site manager if alarms appearing on the BMS/EMS screen and if not acknowledge or actioned Ensure the notification system (DC Alerts) are checked on a regular basis to ensure proper updates being communicated according to SLA’s Ensure site Operations communication to customers are sent according to agreed SLA’s and escalated to DC manager’s as required Ensure all calls to BMS control rooms (Drawbridge) are acted on promptly and site operations act in SLA’s and calls logged to MEP provider to action the requests. Innovation/Continuous Improvement Program Provide graphs and management information to assist in problem solving PPM schedule vs actual changes must be monitored to see effect on monitoring systems on BMS or EMS. Any deviations needs to be escalated to DC Management and Operations Reliability team Provide input to alarm and alert scripts to improve re-occurring noncritical alarms.
