About the Role A global leader in sustainable and innovative packaging solutions since 1867, based in the Netherlands, Poland, UK and USA, is seeking a Technical Sales and Support Engineer, to strengthen their presence in Sub-Saharan Africa. The successful candidate will be based in the Western Cape focusing on sales and business development in South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa. Relevant qualification and previous experience in a similar position required.
Duties & Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
- Provide technical support and optimization advice to customers to ensure packaging semi-finished products run smoothly on the machines in the customers factory.
- Develop new business opportunities in food, dairy, and industrial packaging
- Collaborate closely with partners and local converters.
- Frequent travel within South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
What you’ll need
- Strong technical foundation (Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in packaging or related industry.
- Combination of technical expertise and commercial drive.
- Affinity with the dairy/food sector.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive, and willing to travel very frequently within Sub-Saharan Africa.
