Technical Service Engineer

Position Summary

Provide on-site and remote technical support to troubleshoot hardware and software issues; oversee equipment installation and commissioning to ensure smooth system deployment. Proactively monitor customer usage, collect feedback, identify pain points, and serve as a strategic link to our global R&D and engineering teams to drive product iteration.

Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Key Performance Areas (KPAs)

  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose telematics hardware and software issues in the market, providing after-sales support and developing standardized SOP workflows.
  • On-Site Field Interventions: Resolve on-site technical issues in the field, promptly feeding collected CAN bus data and analysis back to engineering teams to drive product improvements.
  • Customer Success & Operations: Conduct customer follow-ups, compile and analyze feedback, identify user pain points, and uncover high-value user requirements.
  • Process Optimization: Manage after-sales operations, assist the team in optimizing processes, and drive business standardization.
  • Product Performance Monitoring: Track post-deployment device performance (T-BOX, dash cams, electronics) to ensure stable system operation and resolve operational bugs.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Matric or higher; Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields .
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to the automotive or telematics business .
  • Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of automotive electronic/electrical systems; proficient in vehicle CAN protocols with hands-on experience capturing and analyzing CAN messages . Proven ability to diagnose and resolve market issues related to commercial vehicle electronic control systems.
  • Preferred Niche Skills: Prior after-sales support experience with telematics units (T-BOX), dash cams, or other automotive electronics .
  • Attributes: Excellent verbal communication and coordination skills; detail-oriented, proactive, and highly responsible under pressure.
  • Licensing: Valid Code 8 driver’s license .
  • Language: Ability to read and write fluently in professional English.
