The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting its products by providing expert technical advice to farmers, clients, and distributors. A primary focus will be on increasing the company's visibility in the Western Cape, thereby enhancing overall profitability. The role also involves actively participating in trials, farmers' days, and engaging with study groups. Detail: Minimum requirements for the role: Must have an applicable B. Sc. Agric. degree or a similar agricultural qualification 2-5 Years' experience in marketing agricultural inputs is highly advantageous Proven experience in Western Cape Crops – pastures and forage crops would be nice to have Customer-centric focus with a commitment to building and maintaining strong relationships Must have expertise in managing trials Skilled in implementing effective sales strategies, with the ability to work independently Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effortlessly with end-users, together with proficiency in computer skills Fluency in English and a good command of Afrikaans is essential Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel when required The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing expert technical advice, assessing end-user needs, and driving sales. Overseeing all aspects of trials, including planting, weed control, fertilizer application, and data capture. Introducing new products to the market and effectively transferring product information. Organizing farmers' days, addressing study groups, and actively participating in training and negotiations with distribution networks.
