- Minimum 35 years' external sales experience in technical industry
- Proven experience selling industrial products
- Experience calling on customers within the construction, mining or steel fabrication industries
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Target-driven with a proven sales track record
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide ongoing sales support
- Sell a wide range of industrial products including U-bolts, specialised bolts, fasteners, adhesives, abrasives, cutting tools, power tools and PPE
- Conduct regular client visits and identify new sales opportunities
- Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing
- Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into sales
- Achieve monthly sales targets
- Resolve customer queries and provide excellent after-sales service
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate customer records
