About the position
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Technical Sales Representative to join its team in Rosslyn.
The successful candidate will support sales activities, assist customers, identify new opportunities and contribute to revenue growth. This position offers an excellent opportunity to establish a long-term career in sales within a supportive and growing organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and prospective clients.
- Respond to sales enquiries and provide product information and support.
- Identify opportunities to generate additional sales and business growth.
- Follow up on quotations, enquiries and customer requests.
- Support the sales team in achieving departmental targets and objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales information.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service and efficient order processing.
- Monitor customer requirements and communicate relevant feedback to management.
- Assist with sales and promotional initiatives.
- Remain informed about market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity.
- Promote the companys products and services professionally.
- Contribute to a positive and team-orientated working environment.
Minimum requirements
- Matric/Grade 12 is essential.
- Previous sales, customer-service or retail experience will be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Comfortable communicating with customers telephonically and in person.
- Computer literate.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, well-presented and customer-focused.
