A leading industrial automation company is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their Fourways-based team. This exciting opportunity is suited to a technically strong and commercially minded individual with experience in motion control, mechanical integration, and low voltage switchgear.
Working closely with a senior engineering specialist, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, specifying automation solutions, preparing technical quotations, and supporting clients with advanced Mitsubishi Electric products. The role offers extensive mentorship and exposure to complex automation projects while developing the skills required to become a subject matter expert within the business.
Education
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant automation or control systems training advantageous.
Job Experience & Skills Required
- Proven experience in technical sales within the automation, control systems, or industrial engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of motion control systems, mechanical integration, and low voltage switchgear.
- Experience specifying and quoting technical automation solutions.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and provide technically sound recommendations.
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for technology.
- Experience with Mitsubishi Electric automation products will be advantageous.
