A growing renewable energy company is looking for a Field Sales Representative to join its sales team. This is a customer-facing, field-based role focused on generating new business, engaging with prospective customers, and promoting renewable energy solutions. The ideal candidate will be confident, target-driven and comfortable working independently in a sales environment. Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Generate new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Engage with residential and commercial customers to identify their energy needs
- Present and promote renewable energy solutions to prospective customers
- Qualify leads and maintain accurate customer information on CRM systems
- Attend marketing events, activations and community initiatives to generate leads
- Achieve weekly and monthly sales activity targets
- Maintain accurate sales reports and provide market feedback
- Follow up on leads and support customers throughout the sales process
- Work closely with the internal sales team to ensure a smooth customer journey
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years' experience in field sales, technical sales, business development or a customer-facing sales role
- Experience in renewable energy, solar, electrical or related products will be advantageous
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable approaching customers and generating new business
- Experience using CRM systems and mobile applications
- Self-motivated, target-driven and able to work independently
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric
- A qualification in Sales, Business or Marketing will be advantageous
- An Electrical Engineering qualification will be advantageous but is not essential
