Job & Company Description: Our client is a respected automation solutions provider serving the mining, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. They are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and provide tailored automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and productivity. Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, working closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and recommend effective automation and control solutions. You will be responsible for generating new business, preparing technical proposals, conducting presentations, and driving sales growth within your territory.

Education

• BTech, National Diploma, BEng in:

• Electrical Engineering

• Electronic Engineering

• Mechatronic Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required

• 2-5 years' experience in technical sales within the automation, electrical, or industrial sector

• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Industrial Networks and Control Systems

• Experience selling automation products and solutions to mining, manufacturing, or heavy industrial customers

• Ability to provide technical consultation and solution-based selling

• Proven track record of business development and achieving sales targets

• Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Experience preparing quotations, proposals, and technical documentation

• Mining industry exposure will be highly advantageous

• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven

• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport

• Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout Gauteng and surrounding regions
