· Matric / Grade 12 required.
· Relevant diploma or degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering or a related discipline is advantageous, but attitude and demonstrated sales ability are more important than academic credentials alone.
· Approximately 1–5 years of successful B2B sales, business development, recruitment, technology, automotive, equipment, industrial, engineering or other target-driven commercial experience is desirable.
· Previous technical-sales experience is useful but is not essential for an exceptional candidate with strong learning ability and sales aptitude.
· Valid driver's licence and
· willingness to travel are expected .
· Strong written and spoken business English ;
· additional South African or regional languages are advantageous.
Duties
New Business Development
• Digitally comfortable and disciplined in the use of CRM, sales pipelines, quotations, call records and sales analytics.
• Able to travel and develop a geographic territory rather than relying only on inbound enquiries.
• New Business Development
• Develop relationships with project houses, consultants, mines, manufacturers, logistics operators and other industrial decision-makers.
• Metrology, Automation and Industrial weighing systems
• Develop multiple contacts within important accounts rather than relying on a single relationship.
• Provide responsive, professional communication and coordinate effectively with CLIENTS operations and technical teams.
• Follow every meaningful quotation actively and move opportunities through the agreed probability stages.
• Negotiate within approved commercial parameters, protect gross margin and ask for the order.
• Maintain momentum on long-cycle capital projects, tenders and strategic opportunities.
