The company is expanding into ATM and cash-recycling technology, building on an established national customer base, technical infrastructure, cash-management relationships and international OEM partnerships
This is an opportunity for an experienced ATM and/or cash recycler professional to join the business at the beginning of this growth cycle and play a key role in establishing a specialised technical operation across South Africa, with potential future expansion into Africa and international markets
The role is suited to someone who wants to build and develop, rather than simply maintain existing systems. The successful candidate will become a technical authority within the business, contribute to product development and improvement, work with international OEM engineering teams, and assist in developing a team of ATM and recycler technicians
Duties & Responsibilities
Establish and develop the company's ATM and cash recycler technical capability
Provide advanced technical support for ATM and cash recycler deployments
Diagnose and resolve complex technical and equipment faults
Develop product training programmes and technician competency levels
Establish internal technical certification and development programmes
Develop preventative-maintenance standards and diagnostic procedures
Establish technical escalation and field-service procedures
Develop workshop repair and module-level repair capabilities
Conduct failure, reliability and recurring fault analysis
Assist with spare-parts strategies and technical support processes
Build and maintain technical knowledge databases and documentation
Train and develop existing technicians to support ATM and recycler technology
Assist in defining technical skills requirements for future technical teams
Work directly with international OEM engineering teams
Participate in international technical training and product certification
Assist with new-product evaluation, testing and validation
Participate in firmware and software discussions with OEMs
Provide product-development and field-performance feedback
Support new currency implementation and market deployments
Conduct field stress testing and technical assessments
Identify opportunities for product and service improvements
Support the development of a scalable national technical operation
Contribute to the future expansion of ATM and cash-recycling capabilities across South Africa, Africa and potentially international markets
Progressively take on greater technical and leadership responsibilities as the division grows
Desired Experience & Qualification
Strong technical experience with ATMs and/or cash recyclers
Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
Experience working with international OEMs and technical teams
Ability to understand products beyond routine field maintenance
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
Ability to identify recurring product weaknesses and failure points
Interest in product development, technology and continuous improvement
Ability to transfer technical knowledge to other technicians
Willingness to train, mentor and develop technical teams
Ability to work across field service, workshop, technical support and engineering environments
Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to build within a structured organisation
Comfortable working with local and international stakeholders
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Potential and willingness to progress into a technical leadership role
