TECHNICAL (CRANES/INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT) SALES Representative -DURBAN

Introduction

Our client based in Durban - Bayhead, seeks service of a Technical and Customer Service person .

Duties & Responsibilities

Engage in various sales activities focussing on selling Industrial Equipment.

➢ Promote and support cross-selling (maintenance contracts, inspections, on call services).

➢ Prepare and implement action plans for effective search of sales leads and penetrate new markets.

➢ Implement company sales and service strategy to achieve sales and profit targets.

➢ Identify, research and contact prospective customers to build positive relationships to generate

future sales and service business.

➢ Visit existing and new customers, building and maintaining good customer relationships within

assigned area.

➢ Making and following up offers/quotations using company tools and processes.

➢ Develop long term sales and adapt sales activities so these objectives are met.

➢ Actively discuss the safety aspect at customers site, so our technicians can safely operate.

➢ Create, update, report and summarize all of your activities at least weekly so that your sales funnel

is accurate and up to date.

➢ Implement good management practices such as planning and control.

➢ Identify any specific problem areas within your field of responsibility and implement preventive

actions to prevent reoccurrence.

➢ Ensure that business is conducted within the requirements of the company policies and

procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification

5 years External Sales experience required.

➢ At least 5 years ‘experience in a key account, project or technical sales role .

➢ Advance Certificate in Sales Management.

➢ There is a strong need to be independent and focused.

➢ Competency in understanding and drawing up sales budgets.

➢ Sound knowledge of the procurement processes, from quotation to invoicing.

➢ Valid driver’s license.

➢ Computer literacy.

➢ Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with effective verbal and written communication skills at

all levels.

➢ Business travel with South Africa.

➢ Must be medically fit.

➢ Working experience in Health & Safety (Risk Assessments, Method statements, etc).

➢ W orking experience in crane related operations and logistics.

➢ T echnical crane understanding (Crane spec’s, Load charts, rigging studies, etc).

➢ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

➢ Be medically fit to be able to comply with site requirements and be able to complete duties

Package & Remuneration
