- A leading construction materials organisation is seeking a Technical Consultant to provide expert technical support and guidance to customers within the construction industry.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical solutions, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting quality and product excellence initiatives.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Chemistry or Civil Engineering.
- Advanced Concrete Technology ACT Diploma or similar qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within construction processes, including:
- Concrete production
- Concrete mix design
- Mortars and plasters
- Quality control
- Construction materials applications
- Strong technical knowledge of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and concrete technologies.
- Experience with material applications and quality control standards.
- Knowledge of SANS specifications relating to aggregates, cement, and concrete.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and technical report-writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Strong understanding of market trends and evolving technical requirements in the construction industry.
- Well-versed in SANS specifications for aggregates, cement, and concrete.
- Ability to build and manage strategic relationships.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong customer record management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentations and technical report writing.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a pragmatic and persuasive approach.
- Skilled in planning, organising, and executing tasks with precision and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
