Technical Analyst with 8+ years of SAP ECC/S/4HANA data experience , strong SQL and data analysis capabilities, responsible for identifying and resolving data quality and reporting discrepancies . Acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and data engineering teams, performing SAP-level root-cause analysis, reconciliation, and implementation of proactive data-quality controls.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for data quality, reporting, and discrepancy issues.
- Engage with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams to understand business issues.
- Translate business problems into clear technical problem statements .
- Perform hands-on root-cause analysis across SAP source tables and documents .
- Trace records through SAP to identify data divergence and posting issues .
- Write and optimize SQL queries/scripts for data profiling, reconciliation, and comparison.
- Analyze SAP data structures, posting logic, reversals, currency/unit conversions, and archiving .
- Develop and maintain data reconciliation checks and data-quality rules .
- Monitor recurring discrepancies and implement controls to prevent future data issues.
- Communicate technical findings, status, root cause, and resolution in business-friendly language .
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide timely updates.
- Collaborate with data engineering and reporting teams to improve data reliability.
- Support reporting/visualization using Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BW where required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 8+ years of experience working with SAP ECC / S/4HANA data modules .
- Strong hands-on SQL skills – Oracle, MS SQL, or SAP HANA.
- Experience in SQL performance tuning .
- Deep understanding of SAP data structures, posting logic, and organizational hierarchies .
- Strong experience in data reconciliation, data quality, discrepancy analysis, and RCA .
- Ability to work with business stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field .
- Power BI, Tableau, or SAP BW experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
