- Degree/Diploma/ Certificate in Logistics/Warehouse/ Cold storage management.
- Minimum of 3-5 years Logistics/ warehouse/ Cold Storage experience/ Stock Control experience.
- Computer literate.
- MS Excel on intermediate level.
- Excellent interpersonal skill.
- The candidate will be required to be highly self-motivated and motivational, pro-active by nature/ forward thinker, strong organizational skills, strong managerial and leadership skills, multi-tasking abilities and flexible, ability to work effectively on own as well as part of a team and with the ability to meet pressurized deadlines and maintain strict attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for
- The daily and advance planning, co-ordinating, management and execution of all customer orders with case picking internal and external, stock control, handling of customer returns and stock control of internal non-conformances on all shifts.
- The planning and management of all picking processes and requirements and their alignment with daily workload to achieve optimal efficiencies, productivity and service delivery to all customers internal & external.
- Stock control of all inventory movements in and out store.
- Non- conformance cases on order scanning to be logged managed and controlled daily. All control spread sheets to be managed and accurate daily physical stock to matched theoretical.
- Daily controls and measurements on non-conformance receipts, and problem cases scanning to be logged measured and elevated to the applicable production facility.
- Control and management of damaged stock.
- In office and on floor type of management required. Hands-on management style.
- Ensure all sales orders requirements are correctly and accurately planned, allocated, picked in full, checked, scanned, palletized, routed, labelled and stored/loaded as per sales order / transfer instructions in allocated bay, vehicle or storage area. Any discrepancies to be reported to manager / superintendent.
- Ensure FIFO principle applied when handling all stock movements.
- Daily replenishment of stock to picking store. Adherence to minimum stock levels.
- Management and control of all inventory movements.
- Conduct weekly and monthly cycle counts as per cycle count procedures. Ensure all cycle count documentation and reports printed and signed off and brought to manager. All discrepancies to be reported to manager.
- Written and verbal shift handover feedback and workload plan Picking Store completed and discussed between shifts and handed to team leader/ superintendent and signed off and brought and discussed in morning management meetings.
- Planning and co-ordinating of Chep pallets requirements for picking store.
- Checks to be concluded on LN system after picking and scanning of every order to ensure entire orders case picking is picked and scanned in full as per allocation.
- Ensure all system issues pertaining to picking store is elevated to systems poultry, resolved and reported to manager/ team leader/ superintendent on every occurrence.
- Adherence and practice to all company stock control policies, protocols and practices – Individual and staff. Ensure stock is handled by strict stock movement procedures.
- Ensure correct product handling maintain the cold chain.
- Handling of telephonic/ mailed customer internal and external queries and claims.
- The effective and efficient planning and picking of product with adherence to all standards, requirements and procedures are met.
- Reporting and elevating of any case pick order delays to manager/ Team Leader / Superintendent.
- Adherence and practice to all company risk management, food safety requirements and housekeeping protocols and practices – Individual and staff.
- Ensure housekeeping of picking store and staging areas to the required standard at all times.
- Ensure Picking Store is managed in accordance with GMP and GHP principles.
- Ensure all documentation required to adhere to the food safety system is implemented, verified and completed as per agreed standard.
- Ensure staff adheres to all legislative and company requirements.
- Ensure Picking Store is managed in such a manner that all business related risks are identified and pro-actively eliminated.
- Ensure subordinates adhere to company policies and procedures in order to minimize the business risks.
- Full start up and shut down procedures of Picking Store is practiced and adhered to.
- Physical walk about of all areas of department on shift handovers.
- Ensure Picking Store inspections and material handling inspections are done daily and all control sheets completed.
- Ensure Picking Store inspection findings are reported and addressed immediately.
- Ensure material handling equipment breakdown is investigated, reported and service provider contacted to carry out repairs. Notify manager/superintendent.
- Ensure all control documentation; files checked and signed off daily. Inform manager/superintendent of any discrepancies.
- Ensure seal and key procedure is adhered to at all times.
- Daily shift meetings conducted 20 keys programme
- Daily attendance and overtime figures collated on staff registers.
- Absenteeism in critical areas is filled in conjunction with skills matrix and approval of superintendent/manager. Ensure sufficient staff is available on every shift to meet workload requirements.
- Ensure all staff at their work station at start of shift and off work station when all work completed.
- Ensure all staff dressed in the required PPE and all clothing baskets clean and neatly hung on rails in basket room.
- Planning and arranging of staff for any overtime duties if and when required.
- Ensure staff training programme in place for multi-tasking – All picking store positions.
- Ensure the identifying of suitable staff for 'Succession Planning" for picking store positions within the N.M.C.S Department and the continuous training of such individuals.
- Ensure new employees have the correct induction prior starting work including all safety and risk control aspects of department and their job.
- Ensure all staff adheres to rules and procedures.
- To take required disciplinary action if and when required and carried out as per company standards and statutory requirements.
- The effective and efficient management of all picking processes are conducted and adhered to.
- Ensure correct staff management and control. Ensure that company policy and standards pertaining to staff are enforced and maintained e.g. Correct protective clothing
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and control.
- Ensure all pallet control procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure picking store refrigeration in order including daily cleaning of PODS.
- Ensure 20 keys programme is promoted, enforced and practiced in department. Management and update of MBA boards.
- Planning and set up of picking store staff to carry out job functions and to check once completed to ensure to the required standard.
- Timeously attending to written and telephonic queries.
- Timeous raising of non- conformances NCR's including completion of any raised against department.
- Any weekly reports/ requirements printed /mailed timeously.
- Assisting multi –tasking and filling in job functions when required. Know and able to work in all positions
- Knowledge of how other business functions tie in with department.
- Ensure all scanning equipment is checked and accounted for.
- Daily verification of all keys in key cabinet.
- Ensure to report an half an hour before shift duty and stay a half an hour after shift to ensure proper start up and shut down is done.
- To ensure sanitisation of vehicles prior to loading.
- To ensure sanitisation of all handling equipment and all drains.
- Attending meetings if and when required to.
- Ensure continuous communication with Manager/Superintendent/
