A rapidly growing, highly dynamic market leader within the multi-entity sports betting, gaming, and entertainment sector is seeking an analytically sharp, technically elite Tax Manager to join their central finance leadership structure. This position is custom-built for an accomplished tax specialist who excels at developing robust corporate tax governance models, mitigating cross-border tax risks, and managing complex regulatory engagements.

Operating in direct partnership with executive leadership, you will hold total operational accountability for direct and indirect tax compliance (CIT, VAT, PAYE, and Excise levies), transfer pricing frameworks, and statutory dispute resolution. Key Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance & Statutory Governance: Direct and review full-suite tax compliance across group entities, approving computations and returns for Corporate Income Tax (CIT), VAT, PAYE, and specialized Excise duties under strict statutory deadlines. • Tax Strategy & Risk Management: Formulate tax governance frameworks, conduct internal tax health audits, enforce internal risk mitigation policies, and identify opportunities to optimize the group's structural tax profile. • SARS Dispute Resolution & Regulatory Engagement: Lead all engagements with revenue authorities, managing audits, formal objections, regulatory reviews, and Voluntary Disclosure Programme (VDP) applications. • International Tax & Transfer Pricing: Oversee global tax compliance, cross-border transactional structuring, Transfer Pricing documentation, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) submissions. • Technical Advisory & Team Leadership: Provide expert technical tax guidance on corporate transactions, mentor and develop the internal tax team, and translate complex tax legislation changes into actionable business strategies. Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • Formal Education: A completed BCom Honours or postgraduate qualification in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance; active status as a Registered Tax Practitioner.
  • Professional Qualifications (Highly Advantageous): Qualification as a Chartered Accountant CA(SA) is strongly preferred; an MCom in Taxation is highly advantageous.
  • Experience Track Record: Minimum of 7 to 8 years of solid, reference-backed tax experience operating within a large corporate group environ
