Purpose of the Job: To advise clients on tax matters, solve tax disputes, and provide practical guidance on tax planning and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- LLB or relevant legal qualification
- Tax law and advisory experience
- Experience handling SARS matters and tax disputes
- VDP and Debt Compromise experience advantageous
- International/cross-border tax experience advantageous
Technical Competencies & Experience
- Advise clients on local and international tax matters.
- Handle tax planning, structuring and compliance.
- Prepare tax opinions and legal research.
- Manage SARS disputes, objections and appeals.
- Handle VDP and Debt Compromise applications.
- Liaise with SARS and provide client consultations.
- Keep up to date with tax legislation and support the tax team.
