This contract role is ideal for a data professional who enjoys transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights and building interactive dashboards that support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and interpret business and data requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Connect Tableau to multiple data sources and optimise data models for performance.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance.
- Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data.
- Identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business users, developers, and project teams.
- Troubleshoot and improve dashboard performance.
- Ensure reporting solutions comply with data governance and security standards.
Requirements
- Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification (essential).
- 3–5+ years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.
- Advanced Tableau Desktop experience.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience with data modelling and ETL concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments is advantageous.
- Exposure to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, Power BI, Python, R, or data warehousing concepts will be beneficial.
Additional Information
- Month-to-month contract based in Johannesburg.
- Travel to Angola will be required throughout the project.
- All approved business travel expenses, including flights and accommodation, will be covered by the client.
