SYSTEMS DEVELOPER (SQL & BUSINESS CENTRAL) CITY DEEP

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Systems Developer with proven experience in SQL development and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business applications, ensuring seamless integration between systems, and supporting business-critical processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT WILL NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

Key Responsibilities

Development & Customisation

• Design, develop, and customize solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.

• Build and maintain integrations between Business Central and other systems.

System Maintenance & Support

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Business Central users.

• Monitor system performance, data integrity, and security.

• Apply updates, patches, and system upgrades while ensuring minimal disruption.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Analyse business processes and recommend improvements through automation and system enhancements.

• Produce technical and user documentation for developed solutions.

Collaboration

• Partner with IT, finance, operations, and other teams to ensure systems align with business needs.

• Train and support end-users on new functionalities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

REQUIREMENTS

• Being in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience) will be advantageous.

• Proven experience as a Systems Developer or similar role.

• Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, SSMS, database design, optimization).

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV/BC).

• Knowledge of system integrations using APIs, web services, or middleware.

• Solid understanding of ERP processes (finance, supply chain, sales, etc.).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or Azure.

• Familiarity with other Microsoft Dynamics modules.

• Knowledge of reporting tools (SSRS, Jet Reports, or equivalent).

• Background in finance or operations environments.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in SQL development.

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience working with Business Central (or NAV).

• The ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

• Must be willing to travel from time to time.

• Must reside in Heidelberg or surrounding areas.
