The Role: Systems Coordinator

The Systems Coordinator leads and oversees the Mechanical and Systems department, ensuring that propulsion, plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic equipment are installed efficiently and integrated seamlessly throughout the build process. The core focus of this role is to streamline the installation workflow and ensure high-precision execution of complex mechanical designs.

Key Responsibilities

Apply a minimum of 10 years of marine, yacht building, or shipbuilding experience to manage and coordinate departmental workflows and resource allocation.

Oversee the installation and commissioning of core systems, including engine room outfitting, main engines, drive trains, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, bilge, and hydraulic systems.

Align installation schedules to optimize workflow efficiency and ensure departmental milestones are met.

Review and interpret complex system diagrams, mechanical schematics, and technical drawings.

Coordinate with project managers, technical coordinators, the drawing office, engineers, and subcontractors to adhere to design specifications and classification requirements.

Oversee the testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of onboard systems to meet quality standards and classification society requirements such as RINA and Lloyd's.

About You

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the marine, yacht building, or shipbuilding industry.

Proven experience managing and coordinating technical teams or mechanical installation departments.

Formal technical or engineering qualifications related to marine mechanical systems.

Strong technical understanding of mechanical marine systems, including propulsion, HVAC, refrigeration, pumps, and piping.

Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings, system diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
