Switchboard Operator
Introduction
A position has become available for a committed individual to join Life Bedford Gardens Hospital as a Switchboard Operator , reporting to the Admissions Supervisor. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the switchboard and ensuring that it runs smoothly.
Critical Outputs
- Telephone answering duties according to Life Healthcare policies.
- Assist reception staff when required.
- Assist internal and external customers with enquiries.
- Assist with ad hoc operational duties when r
- Deliver excellent service to callers.
- Ensure that all calls are answered within three rings.
- Determine the nature of the call and transfer the call to the required department.
- Take messages and ensure that they are delivered to the correct recipient.
- Maintain hospital intercom.
Requirements
- Matric
- Candidate must be hard-working, energetic and well spoken.
- Eager to learn.
- Positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills
