Established Private Investigation Agency is looking for Surveillance Operators / Investigation Agents to join our operational team.
Previous surveillance experience will be a strong advantage, but is not essential. We are prepared to train the right person who demonstrates exceptional observational ability, discipline, patience and the ability to learn quickly.
This is NOT a standard security position.
Surveillance requires an individual who can remain stationary and focused for extended periods, continuously observe their surroundings, identify small but important details, anticipate movement and react quickly without compromising an operation.
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
- Exceptional attention to detail - Excellent situational awareness and alertness - Exceptional patience and concentration - Strong observation skills - Ability to remain focused during long periods of inactivity - Ability to think independently and make good operational decisions - Ability to follow instructions precisely - Excellent communication skills - Ability to provide accurate and detailed written reports - Ability to obtain clear photographic and video evidence - Ability to remember and document times, locations, vehicles, registrations, persons and movements accurately - Ability to work discreetly without attracting attention - Ability to work irregular hours, early mornings, evenings and weekends when required - Professional and trustworthy conduct
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- PSIRA registered minimum Grade C - Valid driver's licence - Own reliable vehicle - Tinted vehicle windows will be a strong advantage - Good-quality smartphone with a reliable camera - Reliable mobile data and communication - Sober habits - Non-smoker and non-vaper
Smoking or vaping while conducting surveillance from a vehicle is not acceptable, as it can attract attention and compromise a covert operation.
IMPORTANT
Surveillance is not about simply sitting in a vehicle and waiting.
A good surveillance operator must remain still, patient, alert and observant, sometimes for several hours, while being ready to react immediately when the situation changes.
Our clients rely on us to provide accurate information and, where required, photographic and video evidence to support our observations. Missing an important movement, vehicle, person or piece of evidence can compromise an entire investigation.
We therefore require individuals who take pride in getting the details right.
