Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer, East London Start Date: 2026-08-07 - 2026-09-06 Vacancy Type: Permanent EL003332 Sectors: Engineering & Technical Manufacturing, Production and Trades Location: Eastern Cape , East London Salary: (Negotiable) Brief: Our client has a vacancy for a Supplier Quality Engineer for a permanent role, based in East London, Eastern Cape. Detail: Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria: National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality Experience within an automotive manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR) Demonstrated knowledge of OEM Customer-Specific Requirements (CSR), including Mercedes-Benz Quality Requirements, APQP, PPAP, and customer portal management Experience using customer-specific portals and quality systems (Mercedes-Benz START Portal, PIA Portal or equivalent) Experience managing supplier audits and supplier performance improvement initiatives Qualified Internal Auditor; VDA 6.3 Process Auditor - certification advantageous Experience in supplier audits, engineering change management and customer-specific requirements Strong knowledge and application of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) Experience in structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why and Root Cause Analysis Experience in SAP QM and advanced MS Office and Excel proficiency Valid driver's license and willingness to travel when required Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills The s uccessful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Supplier Quality Assurance & Performance Management Supplier Non-Conformance, Claims & Corrective Action Management Incoming Quality Control Management Supplier Audit Program Management Mercedes-Benz Project Management (START Portal) PPAP & Change Management (PIA Portal) SAP Quality Management Administration Packaging Quality Management (PDS review) Reporting & Quality Cost Management Quality Management System Compliance with Symbio Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance Sal ary: Market related To apply email detailed CV, and all supporting documentation through to [email protected] If you have not received a response within 7 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful show more...
