- We are seeking a dynamic Supervisor: Workshop Foreman to oversee our workshop operations in Johannesburg South. The primary focus of this role is to manage daily activities within the workshop, ensuring optimal performance, adherence to safety protocols, and high-quality standards.
- You will lead a skilled team and be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of workshop technicians to ensure effective workflow and productivity.
- Schedule and assign tasks based on priorities and project timelines, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop protocols, promoting a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Implement quality control measures and troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process.
- Collaborate with management to develop and execute strategies aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and workshop activities, providing regular reports to management.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of workshop processes and safety standards, with a commitment to promoting best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, demonstrating the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to addressing operational challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to interact with diverse teams and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with workshop management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in workshop management, production management, or a related field.
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- A background in engineering or technical fields related to the workshop operations.
- Additional training in safety management or quality assurance processes.
